hi from san diego!

Postby patdbunny » Tue Jan 25, 2011 12:06 am

Hi everyone!

New here. Been keeping birds for the past 20 or so odd years. Current pets: Drake Lawrence aka Ducky-sun conure (daughter's), Bubbles-blue dilute parrotlet, Sam - cinnamon tiel (daughter's), Mary Poppins - cinnamon pearl tiel (nanny bird).

I also breed some stuff - african greys, eclectus, sun conures, jenday conures, indian ringnecks, tiels, parrotlets, bourkes.

Thanks for all the greetings!

Captwest - I see you list a nice round number of 40 birds. I bet that's just your estimate of the current population of inmates! Like my nice round number of 30! My house is actually pretty quiet. My hubby and I have had many a row over the decibel levels in the house over the years. Currently the dozen or so conures are outside. I'm in S. California so the weather's nice enough to house them outside year round.

Her Majesty nods and sends her greetings to you visiting nobles. She awaits your gifts of tribute.

LOL! Greetings from just a bit to the North. Our cats say they shall not be sending any tribute, but that's just how they are.

Ha! Ha!
Her Majesty is actually a cat, even though she looks like a chihuahua. Her Majesty wants nothing to do with the "dogs"! She and the cats have a special bond. The cats part at the cat food dish for Her Majesty. Her Majesty hates puppies, including chi puppies. Her Majesty happily fosters abandoned kittens. That's why the dogs are mere servants, but the cats hold titles.

I know. She's a freak. . .
