Well, I'm new! I have been haunting this forum for a few months now, and I thought I should finally join up.
I'm a student in Australia with a little 5 month old Pineapple Green Cheek named Pony. I have had her for about 3 months. She is very sweet and a little bit reserved. She loves splashing in the water and playing with new toys. I am really interested in trick training, and free flight. So far Pony knows somersault, turn around, kiss, retrieve, whirlwind (where she flaps her wings really fast while staying perched), come to me, and fly to perch (to a distance of about 4ft, ha).
When I bought Pony the breeder offered to clip her wings for me. She said this would make it easier to get to know one another, and that the wings would grow back in in no time. Even though I knew I wanted Pony to one day be able to fly, I let the breeder clip her, thinking that soon her wings would grow back in no time. Well, she still hasn't started her molt, and I really regret ever clipping her. I can't wait until she can finally fly again!
