Last time I took them out they flew everywhere. They aren't very comfertable around me or my family. They are located in our living room. There are curtains for the windows but the fireplace is in that room so I think I would have to move them into another room. The only thing I'm concerned about is them being uncomfertable in another room. They have been in that 1 room ever since we got them. Also, this is off topic, but my mom wants to cut my conures wings! :o She cut Elphaba's and Glinda was flying around the room trying to get away. I heard yelling and then I woke up and they were chasing poor Glinda around the room! I ran over picked up the bird and held her and started freaking out asking what they were doing to my baby. They said they were cutting her wings. They said that she kept on hitting the window when I was at school and my little brother was at home playing with them! Well DUH the birds gonna hit the window trying to get away from him! He is too young to be holding them! Elphaba got his wings cut but my little girl is safe. WHAT SHOULD I DO!!!??? :o   :gcc:

Thanks for the bird tips! I dont mind rambling because I do it all the time like right now! Should I get their wings clipped before they come out just in case? Or should they not get their wings clipped. My little sister (who is the 'officail' owner of the budgies, i have the conures so she gets the budgies but it's the entire families right?) wants their wings clipped before they come out just in case. So should they or should they not?
Thanks again for the tips!

A lot of owners here believe in leaving their birds flighted. However, I can understand your concern about the birds. Maybe it would be best if you went to your vet and had the bird's wings trimmed. It's your call, not ours.

Have you considered moving the conures into your room? I don't think it is safe having your little brother opening their cages. When a bird is out, I believe it needs to be supervised. They can get into a lot of different things. And the fact that your birds are scared of your brother isn't really a good thing.

Ya...I would rather have my conure flighted. But my mom insists on getting her wings clipped so I guess I don't really have a say over my mother. And I'm trying to convince my mom to banish my brother from the birds but she hasn't yet. I can't really move them into my room either because I have a bunch of my school art and if they get to it it would kill them. But the only good news about my brother is that my mom is always in the room when he has them out. My mom does a lot of work in that room. Also I found out that the reason why my 2nd bird, Elphaba, wings are not growing because they guy who first had them and cut his wings cut on a slant and cut the secondary feathers a bit. Will secondary feathers grow back? :? I don't think so but I'm still asking. :? :? :budgie:

Thank god! And THANK YOU FOR THE BUDGIE TIPS!!!!!! :D :D :D
Now your budgies are out and hopping around, they're soooooo happy! It took awhile at first to get them to stop flying. They still do fly around a bit but now they are mostly under control hopping from me to my sister to my brother! And suprisingly my brother is soo much gentler with the budgies than the conures! I hope some of that will rub off towards the conures! Thank you again for the tips!

I'm so happy for your budgies!

Did you end up giving them a wing clip? Or are they still flighted?

Absoluty!!! I have the target and the millet...but I can't find a clicker!
Zaza is on FIRE!!!!!   :D  :) ;)
Does anybody know where I can find a clicker!? Specific pet store name/brand please! I keep asking people and they say 'at your local pet shop' I say 'It is no there,"and they say 'try a bird store' BUT THERE ARN'T ANY BIRD STORE WITHIN 1 HOUR FROM MY HOUSE!!!!!!!

So does anybody know a pet store with a clicker? I know there are some on the parrotwizard.com but I'm too young to be buying stuff online, and I don't have a credit card...and ummm well I'm broke! :(
But if anybody can tell me a bird store I will be happy! :D And if you can tell me the price that would be even better!!!

Can't help on where to get them in Canada, look for them in the dog training section of the store.
