I'm from Melbourne originally, now I live in Perth.
Yes, we were really lucky to get such a young fella, who seems impressionable enough to train, even though he was wild. We think he knows that he's on to a good thing with a steady diet and a lots of love.
He's starting to try and vocalise now, but his first noises seem to sound like a hungry cat!
He gets a lot of time out of his cage, and we're very patient with him, no doubt this has helped with his training.
