Hi from Washington State

Postby mometal77 » Tue Mar 29, 2011 7:34 am

Where do I post questions on senegal parrots? This site has a wealth of information. I read about how senegal parrots will kill other birds and cannot find the information again. What I read was from a lady that said she knew a breeder that killed another senegal parrot in his own cage and two other birds.

I am looking for more information. My ex fiance stole my bird and I need to present information to the court in British Columbia to get him back. Bought feather butt for around 600 last June for a birthday present to myself. Warning her over she has a 12 yr old male cockatiel.

Thanks,

Robert :swaying:

You can post questions about specific birds in the Parrot Species section.

I also think that any bird with a size differential can pose a danger to another bird. Even birds of similar sizes pose a threat to others. It really depends on supervision provided when both are out together and the temperments of each bird.

Lightweight helped me out a lot.

Where I live I finally bought a bird as a kid i had a crow and a blue jay... even the area I live in quite often I see golden eagles. I agree about the different sized birds do pose a threat I have seen this in mid air before with owls.

Believe it or not size goes both ways. I have to keep my Jardine away from my macaws because he has this apparent death wish and always goes after them. The macaws usually ignore him since they are three times his size, but they are animals and anything can happen. One bite from a macaw and the Jardine would definitely be worse for wear...

Oh, I understand completely. One of my budgies has taken to flying to the Green Cheek's cage and trying to peck at him. She seems fascinated with him and I'm worried the GCC will bite her one day. The GCC is fairly new here, though, so I'm hoping the novelty of a third bird wears off to the budgie and she leaves him alone.
