How in the word you manage your time to take care of all the pets

LOL Honestly, some days I have to wonder that myself!!

It's definitely a lot of work. Reptiles are a little more forgiving when it comes to personal face-to-face time. Most of them really don't care, but there are some that need it. And snakes only eat once every 7-30 days, depending on the size and age of it. (That also means that they only do their "business" about the same!!!)

Mornings are busy prepping food for the diurnal ones and checking for eggs and/or hatched eggs, afternoon during my lunch break is walking the dogs, feeding the babies and diurnal lizards, doing laundry and running the dish washer, and feeding myself if there's time (if not, I grab something and eat it at work).

After work is playing with the dogs, working with Sonny and the canaries (we're trying to hand tame them), thawing food for the nocturnal guys if it's a feeding day and regular housekeeping. Spot cleaning happens on the go, and thorough cage cleaning is on the weekends.

I just started a new job on Monday, so I'm getting used to a new schedule. The bonus is that it's in town, as opposed to in the city like my previous jobs have been -- this gives me two extra hours that I don't have to drive in a day!!!

My husband theoretically helps with the cleaning, but ...

Don't you feel strangely relaxed when you're caring for all those animals, though?
It's my happy place. ;)

It's a good thing you have those two extra hours, it sounds like you need them!

Welcome to the Forum! I hope you'll find it as welcoming and helpful as I have, though I don't know when you have time to sit and read!
