I was looking for a good place to get my husband some information on our parrot. He's not been a bird person so he's just starting to learn. He has been around our bird before, but now he's a full time Birdie Dad. lol
I've had Aries for 3 years. He was 7 months old when I rescued him, though he spent about a year and a half with my grandparents and is now learning behavior again. (I was looking for hand made cat trees on Craigslist when I found a parrot cage listing...with a parrot. They were selling the cage and were planning on letting the bird go! I bought the cage and received a free Sun Conure!) He's sweet and quiet most days. He just came to live with my husband and I after we moved out of town. It's a long story, but he was in a safe environment while I could not have him with me. (I say safe because I knew he was going to be cared for, they just did not listen to me when it came to bird care)
I haven't been able to find answers anywhere for one particular thing that Aries does though. He likes to sit with his foot OVER his wing. He'll sit this way while he sleeps or just in the middle of eating.
It's strange...but he's done it the whole time I've had him.
I guess that's a long enough post for now.
