I'm new to the forum, and have a new member of the family too.
Yesterday I brought home my new baby Congo African Grey. He is 6 weeks old and still quite useless in terms of standing/ getting around. But he is a complete sweety, feeding well, and is already settling well with me.
He will be a friend to my Umbrella Cockatoo, who we also raised from 7 weeks old.
I oringally went to look at an Eclectus yesterday, having had a breeding pair of Vosmarie before I thought I would get another. However I saw the Greys, and having had such a wonderful experience with my last grey (who we also raised from a baby) I just fell in love with this little guy.
I've named him Dougal. Pics of him below

Hmm what else to say. I'm 28, live in South Africa (but originally from the UK.) I've spent my time here running game lodges, and I breed St Bernard dogs. I'm animal mad and have horses, dogs, birds, cats, and tortoises.
Thanks for reading, and nice to 'meet' you all!
