Hello! I'm relatively new to parrots, and live with three of them:
Oboe, who is a one-year-old peachfaced lovebird. I've had him since he was an egg, and he rules the roost.
Kazoo, who is a 14-year-old Double Yellow-Headed Amazon. I got her seven months ago today from a family that loved her but felt she'd be happier with someone who would pay more attention to her. They sold her to me on the conditions that if I ever decided to get rid of her, I'd call them first, and that I provide them with regular progress reports. She's a pretty easy-going, good-natured bird. She's having quite a few new experiences here, and she's adapting well. She loves us, but is wary of the other birds. She likes to watch them, but doesn't want to interact.
Simon, who is a five-month-old Congo African Grey. He's a sweet baby. Oboe has adopted him with me.
I think my family is complete now, but I still read the "Birds for Sale" areas of Kijiji and UsedOttawa.com.
