Hello From Ohio

Hello everyone, I've already posted a little bit here, so I figured I might as well introduce myself. My name is Jessica and I'm a pre-med student. My first pet bird was a cockatiel I got when I was 7 and he was my best friend. I've always grown up with pets in my house. Dogs, hamsters, reptiles, fish, you name it. I've currently had kiwi for about 5 days. Ever since my cockatiel passed away, I've dreamed about having a pet parrot. Now seemed like a perfect time to get a parrot because I live in an apartment that doesn't allow cats or dogs.

UPDATE: I just went to go get kiwi's wings clipped by a local breeder and after he read the band, he told me that kiwi was born in '99 and hatched in Alabama! Wonder how he got all the way up here to Ohio.

Oh, and he actually thought that kiwi looked like a she, but after doing some reading on visually sexing senegals, I'm pretty sure that kiwi is a boy.
