Well, being a total novice, i decided to come here to this forum to learn about how to select and keep parrots THE RIGHT WAY. I actually had a senegal parrot once for a few months. He was docile for the first week, then he went off to destroy the world and caused EVERYONE to have bleeding fingers and feet. Turns out he was given little attention and i apparently got him at the time he became sexually mature and was in breeding mode. I got too scared to own another bird, but my love for avians was too great and led me here to this forum to learn and never ever ever to make the same mistake again
I have been well birded for many years but this forum has been great. Not only do they share their knowlege but they share what is going on with their kids. I have learned a lot.
When I have a chance to think I will post some pictures of mine.
There is a section with the title "what has your bird destroyed". Don't let your kid near the keyboard.
Welcome! Cmon' you can't resist the temptation of getting a bird ;D hahaha. And if you do get a bird, research ALOT, and feel free to ask questions...thats what I'm doing..( Don't forget to answer some too!) This site is great, only been here for a day but i have learn't ALOT!
