Oh OK but now I'm fealing second thoughts about egtting a parrot at all because I'm thinking long term. Like what if the Parakeet or Cockatiel is REALLY loud and I'm going to have to get rid of it. And I'm going to feel bad; but my parents aren't going to really care. (Because they can be az wholes ALOT)......
I probably wouldn't mind the noise though. But if I don't get a parrot do you'll know ahy other pets? (No reptile, dogs, cats, fish, or ferrets.) But I do want a parrot but my parents can be real ugly about things and make big things over stupid stuff. So it's going to be hard. and even if I jsut talk to my dad about it he just says, "Shut up you're pissing me off with this parrot stuff"..............
I really do think that a Budgie would be suitable for you, they chirp pleasantly. The sounds coming from your room will sound the same to your parents as the bird chirps you hear from outside.
i recommend a parrotlet. they are NOT loud. I have a 3mos old parrotlet and she is very quiet. she does have bursts of chirping but theyre not heard in the next room.

About 40 years ago (and I am feeling my age) I had two budgies. At that time I considered them pets and did not realize that they were little beings. They kept me company and made me laugh. I did not hold them or work with them to socialize. They were pets not "kids" as I know now. But thinking back they did try to interact. If I did not pay attention when they called me - they would throw sunflower seeds out of their cage at me. I wish I knew then what I know now. It is a shame that I just treated them like pets.
