Saving Up!!!

Michael makes a really good point.
There are always little things that crop up that you didn't think of that you would need to pay for. Toys can be quite expensive, and you need quite a few so the 'tiel doesn't get bored. You need to have enough to rotate once a week or so, rather than just leaving the same ones in the cage all the time. Toys can get destroyed pretty quickly too. If you're going to buy your bird as soon as you have the $200, he's going to spend ages without any toys while you save the rest of the money. When I got my amazon I bought most of his toys before I bought him.

Oh yea I know I'm not going to buy all the toys at one time. I know I' going to have to find other things for him to do with toys. But I think I have some hoemmade ideas as well. Yea I'm not going to buy everything at one time because I knwo the birds not gunu want to stay in the carrier it's in on the way home. It's like buying a CD with no CD player to listen to it. lol

I remember saving up....
I used all my birthday money ( $500)
and I am going to be a Taekwondo instructor, so I'm a trainee i guess u call it, I didn't expect to get money, but I get $35 a month. Im only 12 so no jobs for me LOL.
This is the costing for me:
Skittles: $450
Food: Mum payed LOL
Toys: $40 so far, I have saved up around $100 BUT god, do I have more places to spend LOL
Great deals and toys are Things For Wings, My Safe Bird Store and Crystal's bird toys, they are GREAT prices, I can't buy from crystal since I'm in AUS and we can't bring in some things like yucca and woods ect. But if u are in America you save ALOT of money on those stores. Especially shipping prices...If u are in AUS try talking your parent's for shipping fees, I'm trying to convince mine to pay shipping LOL
But all the great bird stuff and cheap is in Canada/america...damn Australia!!! Hahahahahahaha.
But Australia or not, My safe Bird Store and Things For wings have great prices.
I personally prefer buying bird parts from My safe Bird Toys, and Things for wings I would love to but toys from, but I am buying parts first, and that has reached $100 For about 4 month supply of making....
Visit those sites, you will BE AMAZED by the prices!!!!!

Oh OK. Well I get out the house very often and the PetCo and PetSmart are quite close to me so we can just drive there. PetCo is cheaper though (sometimes).
