They look so pretty! :P

It is very easy to sex a cockatiel. Males sing - females don't. Females make beautiful little sounds and communicate with noises but my males started singing as soon as they were weaned.

My latinos, Sweetie & Lemone' are beautiful - Twinkle is my gray and she is special to me - but Shadow has such beautiful colors and he is so sleek he stands out in the crowd. His voice is wonderful and cheerful.

My males take turns being the leader. Right now only Shadow sings and he sings enough for all three males.

Haha thanks! hey she nips at me when I try to take her off my shoulder i don't know what to do but other then that she's really good other then at night time. Don't touch her at night. She'll bite you... But is there a way to stop the niping when I take her off her shoulder? also i want to train her but I don't have a clicker what can I use?...

Rory nips if I try to take him off my shoulder and he DOESNT want to. I dont react to the nip (which is not very hard anyway) and still take him down. Being on your shoulder can be seen as a dominance thing, Chevy/Rory thinks they are the boss. Guess what, they are not. Dont let Chevy up on shoulder till he learns some manners. They are such spunky little things, I dont think they realise they are as small as they are.
For a clicker, you could use a ball point pen (the type you push to retract the point), you could "click" your tongue, or you could use a verbal command. or have you got any kids toys that make a repetive sound, like a party favour clicker, if you know what I mean.

The higher they are the more dominant they feel. I had to take down Myrtles play rope because of it. When I tried to get her down she would give me attitude.

On my shoulder she cuddles and preens me. To get her off when she doesn't want too I put my palm under her until she has to step on it. She is a left shoulder bird so I use my left hand with a flat palm up and scoot under her belly until she has to step up or fall off.

what i did with Lemon :greycockatiel: Is I very very slwoly appraced her and kept my hand there for about 5-10 mins. Then got closer and closer now this is what people say on the internet wiith traing method. After that BAM tamed bird guess what. NOPE. You have to do this for days. Then after about 2 weeks you can pet her and love on her cuddle her. Then to bond more with I advise. Is get her to step up. And flip her over upside down. I say Over-Under to her when I do this and she'll try to bite me the first time. And keep doing this until she dosent struggle now shes a loable companion bird and also my spoiled baby. And I plan on having another little bird with me soon. Like this animation Lemons gonna get a boy-friend! :cockatiel: I hope so its my dream!
