I had put a string bracalet in her cage and didn't think her head would get around it. Luckily she didnt turn around with it. I just had to hold her still and just take it off her. But she was freaking out. But i think we're getting along a bit better now. I think she's realizing that without me she's bot able to get wih out me. She starts to nibble when i went her off me... Is there a way to stop that?

No you can't make her stop nibbling you, because she is a living creature with emotions that should be expressed. If you need to get her off, just get her off quickly.

Chevy does not connect that you put it in her cage for her to get hurt on. She does know that you got her out of it. Maybe rearange her cage a little so she knows it isn't in there and won't be back to get her.

The nibbling means she does not want to leave you. Nibling doesn't hurt. Ignore it - talk softly - do what you have to do. If you have to put her back in her cage tell her how pretty she is even if she is nibbling your finger at the time.

Myrtle preens the fuzz on my cheeks.

Yeah! Parrotlovers back. Good to know you are both ok. Also, besides the accident, Chevy is a little older and a little braver now. S/he will start trying to do things that he wasnt before (the honeymoon of having a new bird is over LOL). This is normal behaviour. When they get comfortable with surroundings and people, they come out of their shell a little more. Chevy is testing your boundaries. Just talk to him, keep him safe, play with him, let him tell you what he wants or doesnt want (within limits of course, dont let him get into the biting habit, if he bites, its because you are asking him to do something he doesnt want to do).
Put the accident in the past and move forward with your little buddy. Just "think" about what each toy could do to him before giving it to him. Many household things are not designed to be used for birds. Live and learn from what happened but dont dwell on it, look at it as a lesson on what you can and cant give to a bird to use as a toy.
Glad you are both ok. Chevy is getting to be a cheeky one. Rory has also got some attitude but he is so cute. I will say though, Rory hardly ever bites because I read his body language and dont push him too hard.

Mum could be right. It could have nothing to do with the incident. Saving Chevy from being attacked by a toy tightened the bond between you.

Myrtle is giving me attitude. At least once a day I have to remind her "I'm the mom and your the kid". I guess it would be easier with an Amazon though. She knows the word no and says it now. All I have to do now is point my finger at her and tell her no (multiple times). She will listen to me eventually.

I have to keep reminding myself that she is like a kid in the "terrible twos".

Of course it is having an affect on her but she will adjust. Give her something to listen to while your gone or put her near a window.

Well it doesn't seem like a "love" nip. Also she's being very ignorant about getting on my hand. She keeps resisting but I'm going to try and train her to know that if she gets on ym hand she can get treats as well. So I don't know if I just destroyed my birds trust with humans. Also one of her tail feathers broke. It my be because she falls alot and trys to fly. The breeder said that they're at a flighty age at the moment. I can't wait for her to be six months old too! She'll look so pretty an cute! She's starting to chirp(loud-ish) going back and forth on her top perch wanting to get out. I want to take her out, but every time I do she doesn't want to listen to me and she doesn't want to get back on my hand if I put her down or soemthing. In that case I'd have to grab her and put her on my HAND. NOT my SHOULDER because then she won't get off of there either... I need help PLEASE!
