Introduction

Hi, My name is Linda and i am from the NE of the US and I have 4 birds. I have 2 parrakeets, 1 cockatiel and a yellow crested amazon. The Amazon bird, I just got a few days ago and am very intmadated by him/her. Besides of the looks they give you, I want to pat her/him and sometimes it lets me touch his beak, other times it whips its head around and snaps . Does anyone know why?

Hello and welcome. Why it bites we can only guess but how to solve it is pretty universal. The exact details and pace will vary but the technique seems to be very successful with all parrots:

Hi there. I had just recently purchased a blue and gold macaw. He is a funny and loves attention. Im still kind of scared of him. He opened his cage by his self today. He is smart ill give him that much.
