Senegal Mama saying Hello

Hi! I got my Senegal girl Keely just yesterday and I'm every excited. I've wanted a parrot since I was a kid, but I always had lots going on or other pets that needed all of my attention.

My 3 rescue doggies were all similar age and I lost all three of them in 2 years. I waited quite awhile to get another pet and finally my family is ready.

I did a lot of reading and I was excited about the Senegal's ability to learn, how adorable they are, and the fact that their voices aren't as loud as some other parrots.

I'm excited to learn and grow as a parrot owner. I had a horse for a very long time and I loved training her. This will be a brand new journey for me with a birdie and I can't wait!
