Hello from Salina and Kayla

Hi everyone,
I'm Kayla and I recently adopted a 7 year old Senegal parrot,it hasn't been sexed but the former owners called it salina, not sure if I like this name or if the bird really even knows it's name. Wondering if it would be hard to get it to respond to another name. Also salina is on a mixed seed diet with food offered to it 24/7 I'd like to switch to pellets and timed feeding. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum.

I use RoudyBush pellets for my Amazons and RoudyBush Crumbles for my tiels, seed, grains and etc. free choice. The only thing I time is fresh foods since they wilt or spoil.

I rescued Myrtle. It is an awful name for a beautiful bird. I have been cally her Myrtle Baby. She now answers to Baby also.
