I am a new Bird friend, I have so much to learn and look forward to learning.

Alyx is my first Parrot, she is a Green Quaker, her Hatch date is Dec. 15, 2010; she came home to me on March 9, 2011.

My special friend “Alyx”

Every now and then
Along comes a new friend
With a friendship to last
Through times that pass
And together until the end,

Alyx is always hesitate to say
The words I want to hear
But my heart wins out instead
Because she does her special
Noises and Sounds or
just shows off her special
Expressions she likes to share.

I often have to leave her behind; when I
Am at work during the week; and she is left behind to
Hang out in her cage, which she enjoys playing with her all things,
She seems to know when it is our time to share,
Because of all the laughter and fun noise she shares
When our playtime is near
I enjoy the time as much as she does during
This playtime we happen to share.

I cherish this opportunity to be Alyx’s friend,
Because a true friend to her I will always be because
of our enduring bond.

Alyx and I look forward to learning so much more on this forum!
