introducing myself

Hello,
Am new to the forum and would like to introduce my flock. Just 4 days ago i bought my first birds,
2 cockatiels, Lucy and Titan, am still a begginer, and i hope to find help in taming my cockatiels. They are 8-7 months old and as i said i got them 4 days ago so i think they are not used to me. I started training them and already got some progress, now i can hand feed both of them, lucy now let me to scratch her peak, but titan is a little bit scared. I tought titan to step-up but i can't feel that he likes me. I'm now trying to teach them targeting but it's just not going on smooth. One more question, today while feeding the birds I found out that titan's noistrils are red and he's sleepy, does that point out that he's sick or ill. Hope i wasn't too heavy on you.

Welcome to the forum.

If you got them both from the same place at the same time and they are that different I would take it to an avian vet just to b safe. If it is sick you don't want the other one to get sick. At this point in their adjustment they would freak out to be seperated.

First of all thank you,
Today while i was checking on the cockatiels i found out that Titan got a little better, I asked the pet shop where I got them from and they told me " it's okay, maybe he's a little bit scared, just feed him good". There's this thing i found about my cockatiels, they like eating cilantro stems and dislike the leafs, is that healthy for them since I feed them about 2-3 cilantro stems per day, in addition to the seed mixture which forms most of their diet. One more thing, did the cockatiels really got used to me or just act tame because they are scared.

They don't act tame when they are scared. They act wild.

They have not really had time to get use to you.

Guess what? I think they like you.

Keep in mind that since you added them to your world - you are now their whole world.
