New to this forum:)

Hello this is my first day here and I have already learned and confirmed alot of things about my parrots. I have 2, First is Kieko the Quaker, who only loves me.....which is rough at times! Any good advice on helping him to like and play with others would be great, this is with both humans and other birds!!
Then there is Sassy, my Cherry Headed Conure. I already love her to peices I just got her at a bird show last weekend so I have had her about 5 days. She seems to be older from everything I have read on them and just overall she seems old. I want to make her last years the best she has had. She was a rescue from Hurican Katrina, and was with the man that I got her from for going on 4 yrs. Now she seemed very afraid of him, and still quite afraid here with us. Although, each day is getting better and better. She was plucking a bit with him, and just overall looked not so good. In 5 days now she looks a hundred times better. I dont know how long it had been since she had a bath/wing trim/beak trim(needed horribly)/nail trim(needed horribly as well). I did these things but I feel like I scared her even more by toweling her and doing this necessary grooming. Her right foot she can barely even grasp with because her nails have been soooo long for toooo long I assume. Now they are trimmed but she still can not use this foot as well as the other? Any answers on how to fix, or not? She also is very Timid! I feel so bad for her at times you can just tell she is anxious about everything, but god bless her little heart she does not bite at all:) We all love her, and just want any info about how to make her more comftorable with us, and her last years great:)
