I was looking for some informations.

Your cage or aviary must not be outside!!! But it must be big enough for your bird or birds.
You wil never have some problems till the time a neighbor says your birds are to lowd or so and he calls the polic or the "petpolice"

Then a Doctore from Vienna comes to you and check EVERYTHING!
Your cage or aviary food bird etc.

When every thing is fine you can keep it. If not he takes your bird with him.

But if he dont scream permanent and your neighbors arnt over senseble it will be ok!!

best regards TOni

I love it. We need the pet police here to regulate the owning and care of parrots.

Its one week ago that i get luke and lea.

They play in there cage and eat seeds an pellets!

When they in mood they stay still when i go near the cage with my hand.
Is there a way that they get faster to know me? So they know its okey to eat from my hand when i reach them some seeds throw the cage?

They also stop eating when im getting near the cage.

Thanks a lot ! =)

best regards

Thanks Toni for information. Of course, I forgot it would be IMPOSSIBLE to keep birds outside in Vienna almost 3/4 of the year! Dumb me!

We were also surprised how nice the Vienna zoo was kept there. They had beautiful black cockatoos that I saw for the first time in my life, and many Patagonian conures. Austrians do keep their animals happy!

Good luck with your senegals. It might take a while because they are paired up and they might not easily seek human companions. But I would suggest clicker training to get them on your hand, and lot of patience :) Look for info about clicker training on this site...

Personally, my conure was always friendly from the first day so I did not have to go through that phase...

At first they must accept me and let me feed them per hand. Thats the first step and when i want to ovver them a treed they wont eat it from my hand. I know that the treet that i give them is theere fafourit ( sinc iv got them )
