New Pionus Owner

Hello! I have just adopted my first Pionus! His name is Captain Nemo, he is 13 years and he is a Dusky Pionus. I have owned bird the majority of my life, but it is the first time I adopt and older bird. I would be very much interested in chatting with other Pionus owners, people who have adopted and just about anyone who loves birds! We live in Canada.

Congrats on the adoption! Is your guy/gal as docile as they say they are? We adopted a now 18 year-old Senegal parrot 2 years ago through Phoenix Landing. He's anything but quiet, but quite the clown. I love thinking of how we made such a difference in his life by adopting him It's a great feeling.
