Hello from York!

Hello from York, North Yorkshire!
This is Snuffkin my Hahn's Macaw - we've had him since he was a baby and he's almost 7 months old now.
He /she is absolutely adorable and has become much closer to me than I ever imagined
Apart from being a little nippy as times (usually justifiably!) Snuffkin is incredibly well behaved. He is content sitting/playing on my hand or shoulder, flies to me on command (most of the time ), is starting to pick up a few words (hello, what are you doing? etc), burrows in blankets and rolls on his back for tickles!
We're currently working on harness training... and getting there slowly!
Any other Hahn's owners out there?!

Hi welcome to the forum! I am from Halifax, west yorkshire, quite close to Leeds.

I love hahns macaws and I'm thinking of getting one in the distant future. Of course, before that, there's a load of research to do lol.

Yes! I researched for about a year before getting Snuff. Wanted to make sure I got everything right and knew what i was stepping in to. Although i have experiance with birds he's my first parrot
It's only since i've got him that i realised how much of mistake it would have been to get him when i first wanted to.
