Meet Clifford the Sun Conure. He's my first parrot and I'm super excited. Have a lot of questions though. He was extremely hand tame in the pet store, we went and saw him often before we decided to bring him home. He played a lot and was very happy, and he talked up a storm. Now that he's home he doesn't want to come out of his cage, and he even bit me! Im sure hes just a little overwhelmed and confused, but does anyone have any tips for me? I want his transition into our home to be as easy as possible with minimal stress for him.

that's normal he's just studying you. just talk to him i usually open the cage and wait for them to come to me.

This is not from first hand experience... I am a new bird owner as well... I hear what you are saying... In theory what you are suppose to do is just get to the point where he will come and take food from your fingers. Once that happens then come post for more guidance . Be patient I am having trouble with it too lol.
