My Amazon was clipped when I got him, he went through his first molt just after he turned 1. I started flight training him shortly after he had all of his flight feathers. Our biggest obstacle was getting his confidence up to get him to start flying, after a year of being clipped he wasn't sure what those wings were for! When we started recall training I found Michael and Mona's youtube videos to be very useful.

Have you ever free flight your senegal outdoors Michael? She seems SUPER trained and has the closest bond with you to ever fly away. Have you ever tried outdoor flying with her?

I'll definately check out them videos. Thanks for the info about birds being able to flight train after being clipped for a year. Gives me hopes to still train my lovebirds to recall. Hopefully Maxyx will recall and make an amazing companionship with me. Cute bird you have there on your avatar!

Kili is a year and a half old. I got her when she was 3 months old. I started training her immediately.
