well my name is Mel and as per the post subject i am from Australia. I own a beautiful male eclectus named sheldon. he turned 1 last monday and we have had him since before he had feathers. its hard to believe that we have had him for a year and its hard to remember what life was like without him. he has such a spunky personality and he chatters away inside his foodbowl so it echos lol. he says hello, what u doing, kisses, bye bye, shut up and eat your veggies.. his words aren't 100% clear and he is working on new words all the time. he laughs like a kookaburra (google it if you have to for you non ausies
) barks like our dogs and meows like our cat. we have just started clicker training him since i found this website and it is coming along great! so far he is stepping up everytime (he was really bad before and would only step up when he wanted to.) and he turns aroundnow too.. i am currently working on lifting his wings
and it is slowly very slowly coming along. I am a qualified dog trainer in my spare time so training is like 2nd nature to me so we are having a lot of fun! and this bird does anything for an almond bit. and sprots this parrot LOVES sprouts!i will attach some photos of my boy for you to enjoy!
