Hello from me and the flock!

So i'm thinking the info under my name will give a lot away! I'm an Aussie enjoying life with a flock of 13 parrots ranging in size from budgie to macaw. Certainly keeps my partner, Steve, and myself busy but we wouldn't have it any other way! Looking forward to having a read of some posts here.

Understandably. But that's why I can't figure out if the reason "budgerigar" means "good to eat" is out of sarcasm or because the aborigines would put a dozen on a skewer and have a budgikebab?
