I guess that's why noone bothered to leave but one reply. And I understand completely why one would think my female is a male, since I described her as having a blue rump and blue eyeliner, but she's a Lucida. The females of this subspecies are absolutely gorgeous, displaying teal and peacock greenish blue on their back and rump between their wings...and they also have a beautiful eyeline of the same color or darker. There's an article you can find online called "the lost lucida" which gives quite alot of information regarding these beautiful little girls. And I'm at least 101% sure she is a female, since her and the normal male pacific parrotlet that is her beloved mate have had two clutches of young so far, with all the females sharing their mothers beautiful Lucida markings. She lacks the grey wash on the back of her head, common to alot of Lucidas, especially males, so she's a dazzling green and blue. If you just do a search for the lost lucida, you'll get the article I came up with.
