Hi from Israel

Postby livingwaters » Sat May 05, 2012 11:18 am

Hi,
My name is Maayan and I am a "returning" parrot owner. I had many parrots as a child and only recently bought a badly "hand-fed" baby love bird I am trying to rehabilitate, she's almost four months old, and a 7 months old, quite pampered, female Congo African Grey named Linda.
I was entirely clueless as to what I was doing until I came across some videos, one of which was Michael's and had almost purchased a full DVD set from birdtricks for 300$, that desperate I was.
I have tried some of the methods Michael suggested and they had worked wonders (this is the first day I tried them and already I'm seeing a big improvement in Linda's behaviour).

I really just wanted to thank Michael personally but there he mentioned he wanted only business related mails on his contact form so here I am.

Here in Israel bird training is not as widespread as you'd think it is. There are many bird owners but it appears like most of them are interested in tricks or talking parrots and not many really consider training for a good behaviour (which I think is paramount) so I am really glad to have found this resource and hopefully I'll be able to update on how the birds come along. I might even post some pictures of the gals later :)

Thank you Michael, you articles and videos are priceless.
