I study experimental psychology at the university and live in a dorm with my girlfriend (we have our own kitchen and stuff
)My girlfriend also owns a bird (a budgie, green, yellow, blue with grey wings)
We bought our birds a week ago, mine is from 2012 (he has a ring around his paw) but it doesn't say the exact date.
My girlfriends bird is quite skittish and scared, it only eats some millet once and a while from her hand if it doesn't have to move. But I think its getting better.
My Parrotlet is a lot braver and allready jumps on my hand for treats, it doesn't fear me at all and he doesn't bite, he only nibbles at my fingers when they get to close to his head.
I just started clicker conditioning: clicking and giving him a treat right after, at first he was scared of the clicking sound, but after a couple of hours he's alert and looking for the incoming treat
