Jardine's fan in Miami

Postby McKenna » Sun May 06, 2012 10:56 am

Hi,

I'm an actress living in Miami, FL and my husband and I have no children and just lost our beloved 18-month old Jardine's, our only pet. "Buster" was a playful charmer who made my bird-phobic husband fall in love with birds (well, love Buster, at least). Buster was my first Jardine's and my first parrot since I had a sun conure and cherry-head conure for a couple years in college.

We're currently looking for a reliable Jardine's breeder (not that common) which another bird owner knows from experience and any input would be appreciated. It would be great if the breeder were in Florida but we're open.

Thanks for the forum!

Amy:

I was in the Golden Cockatoo in Deerfield Beach this past weekend and they have a beautiful Jardines there. It's a really great bird store and they offer full health guarantees on their birds. They list their available birds on their website. It's about a 45 minute to 1-hr drive from Miami on Powerline Road.

Good luck.

Please consider a rescue/rehome as there are too many unwanted and homeless birds---don't buy.
A rescue bird can be just as good of a companion---and I find them better in terms of they're usually already adults so you can see the finished personality so to speak.
