Hello all,
A quick...who we all are...
I purchased my Blue front amazon JellyBean, as an egg. He hatched on Mothers Day, May 13th 2007, so he is almost 5. He is well behaved, and we are good friends. He likes to sing and beg for attention. Speaks well, sings and whistles any tune. I believe he is a HE. I don't know at what age a parrot has eggs, but JellyBaen has never had any unfertile eggs..thus far. (finches do so I assume parrot females do as well) Feel free to educate me on this.
A friend was moving to an elderly community and couldn't keep her Bareeyed Cockatoo, Rodney...so I adopted him from her and brought him home yesterday. He is a sweetheart and hand raised...I was told he is 13 years old. He says hello quite clearly and insists his name is Rodgie...LOL...I am told Rodgie is a HE, who loves to dance to any tune, so he and JellyBean should become good friends.
I also have two fish tanks, a 56g Kuda seahorse tank, a 90g Pot Belly seahorse tank,..and 2 German shepherds. The female is spayed so no more breeding, puppies are hard work. Tamerah is 3, and Atticus is 7 now.
I live with my elderly mother, and we take care of each other, we are both widowed.
I just joined the forum because I never owned two birds at once, both are very smart birds. I want to make sure I don't ruin the relationship I have with JellyBean, and at the same time, I want to build a good bond with Rodney (Rodgie)
