HI everyone, I am new to the forum my name is Jenny and I live in Poole on the south of England
I am owned by 3 african greys and 2 blue and gold macaws, they certainly keep me busy but I wouldn`t be without any of them, Penny is my oldest parrot and is 8 she is one of my african greys although she is fully flighted she preffers to stick close to me when out of her cage she talks but only when there is no one in the room, Erica is 5 now she is a blue and gold macaw is fully flighted but is much to lazy to fly we call her princess Erica ! Poppy is 3 she is a blue and gold macaw and unlike Erica she loves to fly and when she lands on my shoulder it`s like a jumo jet!! she does everything at top speed! Daisy and Harry are my 2 baby greys they are now 5 Months old fully flighted and came together Daisy is the fiesty one and always into mischief loves her cuddles but only when she wants them Harry is the complete opposite he is very cuddly looking forward to getting to know you all and hearing about your lovely parrots, Jennyx

Hi Terri, thanks for your reply, yes they certainly keep me busy ..lol..this poor cat keeps sitting on our garden wall Erica spots him and up go her wings and she screams poor cat scurries off what is the name of your beautiful parrot? Jennyhe

My catalina macaw is named Harlow .Shes my best friend Whats your Blue and Golds personalities like ? Do alot of people have parrots as pets where you live? I do not know anyone who has parrots like me. I live in New York state

penny is 6 years old i my cousin gave him to me 4 years ago, and mya is 8 i adopted her last year from love my parrots rescue.nice story about the cat my bluefront used to meow at cats until they got close then he would let out the most evil growl,he did this with kids too,then he would laugh when they ran away

Hi Terri, my blue and gold macaws are so differant Erica is very very layed back she loves to cuddle and just before they go back in their cages after their last playtime she loves me to put my thumb in her mouth and she sucks it like a baby then she snuggles in she is fine when I out her back in her cage as long as she has had her cuddle.
Poppy my other blue and gold is a live wire she does everything at top speed sometimes when she flies across to Ericas cage she skids along the top she loves to cuddle but also likes to rough and tumble all over me she doesn`t bite has a habit of playing with my ears but never bites them she sometimes gets a bit naughty and I ahve a sound which I make they all know it means they have been naughty if I amke it to them Poppy will come over to me stand on my shoulder drop her head and say sorry in such a sweet voice it`s all I can do not to laugh at her but she knows who is boss
I know a few people with parrots and visit them often we all go to the same gym as I ahve lupus and my joints are bad I go to a gym where the machines move and we offer resistance the ladies I ahve met with parrots are from there, oops sorry this is looking like an essay x

Hi Penny and Rocky they sound like lovely parrots theya re such great fun I love spending time with mine love the cat story a friend of mines Son has an african grey they also have a cat who is not allowed in the room where mojo ( the parrot) is my friend was telling me mojo calls Sabre in her Sons voice then when the cat gets to the door she shouts naughty Sabre she sometimes stays with my friend she does make us laugh we are sometimes talking and all of a sudden she starts laughing it`s so funny we end up laughing as well, I do love parrots x
