Aww, I really like the first photo. Parrot looks so happy. Never really regarded an Amazon as cuddly.

Are you kidding? Stitch is the biggest cuddlebug there is, he loves to be scratched, sometimes for an hour! Amazons can defiantly be cuddly!

Oh come on Michael - Amazons are cuddlers too.

Rambo gives me kisses as a reward for transportation but he cuddles with Rachel all the time.

Myrtle is my cuddle baby. Boy can she cuddle. She even slept with me last night. I am very happy that she can hold her poop. She isn't house broken but she never poops when she flies and never on me.

I'm also a middle-aged Newbie. We have a yellow naped Amazon named Sybil. Yes, the name says it all. We got Sybil just this past February from a private party. We did not purchase her, she was given to us. Her previous owner also had an African Grey and she bought Sybil as a companion but unfortunately, her Grey didn't accept her well. Sybil is very outgoing and the Grey introverted and started pulling out her own feathers. Long story short, we adopted her and she is quickly becoming my best friend. I, like you am hoping to gleen as much "pet-ownership" information as possible and this site appears to be one of the best on the net. It's definately been different in my home!! :amazon:

Your blue front is adorable! :)

(and as a side note, I am so relieved to hear all this about Amazons being cuddly. I recently purchased one under the impression that it was pretty cuddly, but recently she's started growling when I pet her, or at least when I begin handeling her. Might just be due to the fact that they took her lunch away... could be my new bird nerves! :amazon:  )
