My Parrot laid an egg

Good afternoon, I have an African Grey for 17 years thought he was a boy and on Sunday 'she' laid an egg, does anyone know how long the cycle will last ? Will she lay anymore ?

did you take the egg away?if not leave it for a couple of days or replace it with a fake egg otherwise she may lay another.does she have a small dark space she goes in?if she does take it away until breeding season is over.
