He is still squaking to call his Mommy. I can't whistle but if you can make a short whistle when you give him something or walk into his room. He will start using that as your contact call.

Don't limit his food. I use RoudyBush free choice.

Keep giving him the fresh goodies. A grape, the leaves of the celery, piece of apple, even a green bean before you put butter and salt on it.

They can smell your food. I found this out with Myrtle. If I cook noodles she stays with me until they are done and she gets her share.

I don't use cage cups. I use small bowls that fit in the dishwasher to sanitize them. I have a large supply and just rotate food as I have it. They get egg and unbuttered toast for breakfast and so on through the day. Mine are busy babies and burn off their calories but most things are low calorie and they only get a taste (except Myrtle she loves food but burns it off with flying).

so he spent the whole morning restless so i opened the cage door and he came out which was cool and just sat on top of his cage for a while (cage is on my landing at the moment).

i was doing my work in my room and he managed to fly up and find where i was, so i told him to step up and after pinching my finger he stepped up, again and again , like he knew the word all his life! although he was still being nippy! he then lowered his head so i though i might try my luck at giving him 'scritches' then after i minute he dozed off on my hand LOL! when i went to put him back in his cage , he FLIPPED out and got nippy again!

and Thanks i' will download in on my iphone asap :)
