Welcome to the forum. This forum has a lot of knowledge but with 50 birds I doubt you can lean anything from me.

You list what you have but I can't identify them. Can you give us common names, what you named each bird and a little about each personality?

Welcome to the forums.

I have to assume most of the birds you own are aviary, otherwise how do you find the time? lol.

I'm with Liz, I havent got a clue what you actually own without common names. I'm not sure about you learning from us but I think I'll be learning from you with all that lot! Just noticed you are a vet too, do you specialise in anything?

Oh! I feel embarrassing!
I think it's not too much. I live this hobby a lot of years ago.
I wrote the scientific names because the popular names are different in each part of the world. I try to write them in english:
- Eolophus roseicapillus: galah cockatoo. :galah:
- Alisterus scapularis: australian king parrot.
- Platycercus elegans/eximius: rosellas.
- Polytelis swainsonii: superb parrot.
- Nymphicus hollandicus: cockatiels.
- Psittacula cyanocephala: plumheaded parakeet.

All these species are in a 18x6x4 m aviary together. They have a very good breeding season regularly.

You have them all together and they still breed? That is amazing. Are they just breeders? Or are they your pets?

I have breeder pairs of these species. Some of the cheeks they have are pets and they are very good.
The thing I like more is seeing them in natural behaviour flying around and having relationships themselves.

My dream is to have a super large outdoor aviary with a connection to my sunroom so they can come in at night or bad weather. I would keep their food inside and leave the aviary for just play and flying. Of course Rambo would have to have a tree to climb since he does not fly.

It is a very good dream! I think you'll get it. Is it a good weather in Archdale?
