New to forum with new Senegal

Hello. I am so glad to have found this forum.
Sadly our beloved Quaker, Brain, passed away in May. I was devastated by the loss of my best friend. He was a rescue that we brought home 16 yrs ago. He was one of the most incredible creatures. He was funny, loved to sing along to old movies, scream in horror at the scary parts and chatter with me all day. I will always miss him.
I recently brought home a 4 month old Senegal. I have always brought home birds in need, but somehow I found myself in love with this little Senegal, Baxter Bird, and he came home with us. He is so well adjusted...from day one he steps up, lays on his back, snuggles in my robe to watch tv or work on the laptop, lets me play with his toes and wings, has no fear of anything, eats everything and is a general joy to be around. This week he has been working on saying "hello" which was a total surprise to me.
Thank you for this wonderful forum. I have read and learned so much from all of you and especially the Senegal owners. I look forward being part of this forum.

I too have a Senegal named Mango. I got him from a breeder 11 years ago when he was just a youngin'. He is quite a chatterbox and is such a joy to have around. He is very comical. I love hearing about all of the parrots in here. Feel free to check out my site about parrot care.
