Hello! I just joined this forum. I got Alice, a budgie, in April, and she's the first bird I've ever owned. Recently Horatio, also a budgie, joined our household; he and Alice are getting along swimmingly, but I'm having some difficulty bonding with them--at this point I really feel like they just tolerate me. Alice will step up regularly, but sometimes bites (although it never hurts) and Horatio is still learning; watching Alice step up has helped hurry his progress along greatly, but he still needs plenty of millet to stay motivated. I'm having trouble finding things to help them want to be out of their cage, other than millet. They have a playgym, but mainly they just nap on it unless I'm actively trying to interact with them.
