My bird family

Postby apropst » Mon Jul 09, 2012 2:09 pm

I live with a few smaller parrots. Kudzu is a very sweet Sun Conure. Stevie is a wonderful Peach Faced lovie I recently adopted. My Parrotlet, Annabelle has been with me for 6 years and is a ball of charisma. And then there's Jazzy, a hybrid Conure I've had for a little over 21/2 years. She is nearly 8 years old and the reason I am here. A friend of mine asked me if I would take her loud, sometimes obnoxious Jenday because she was causing problems with her apartment neighbors. I told her yes but when I went to pick her up, Jazzy wasn't a Jenday like she had been sold as to Renee. Being her first bird, Renee didn't know the difference. I sent photos of Jazzy to about a dozen different breeders and all I could get was "she's some kind of hybrid".

Jazzy is a difficult bird. I've had other birds in the past. Unfortunately, I lost them (Amazons, Green Cheek, Lorikeet, Quaker and Lovebird) in a fire but I've never encountered the problems I've had with Jazzy. I need to put her problems in another section when I have more time. Now I need to go to work.
