New Bird!

Hi guys my name is Jonathan, and I own a Cockatiel. Before my bird "Freedom" came into my life, I owned a European Starling. It was about 4 years ago when he fell from the nest, and I raised him. It is sad however to say he past away from a horrible sickness known as "staggers". But since I have found Freedom, things have lightened up. He is a completely white cockatiel with pink cheeks, and a yellow crest. I am guessing he is almost a year old, but he is completely able to fly since I found him on a 19 story building.
Apart from softbill birds, I am completely new to this type of bird, and you'll propably see me on here often asking questions. Its good to find a site dedicated to FID owners!

Jonathan - welcome.

Unless you have wildlife training it is very hard to take care of a wild bird. You did the best you could for the little Starling. I am sorry for your loss.

Freedom is a wonderful name.

Read Health & Nutritien to pick up on diet. My suggestion is to get RoudyBush pellets for the main food and give a variety of other foods. Cuddle as much as you can and talk to him like a little buddy. You will have a happy companion.
