Sorry to hear that. Sincerely hope you get him back. If you do, please do not clip his wings. It's your fault and not his. Please don't blame him and clip his wings. Just be more careful and responsible in the future. Best of luck to you.

Hiya, I'm near Rotherham a fair bit so I'll keep my eyes peeled.

I'm glad you've contacted the relevant people.
Try and get the local radio stations/newspapers putting out an alert if they will and put posters up in as many places as you can. Give them to your friends and family as well who can put them up in areas as they go about their day if possible.

If you want I'll PM you my address or probably a better idea is you can design something and e-mail it over for me to print off for you so you can send me some posters to stick up when I'm in Rotherham and in my local shops so as many people can see it as possible, quite alot of people here go to Rotherham reguarly or know people from there. I can also send them to people who are on my animal care course as alot come from Rotherham.

I really hope you get him back. Best of luck.

I very much hope you get your African grey back. You are doing as much as you can to find him, so I hope you do find him. Michael is right, don't clip the bird if you get it back. How would we feel if e chopped off our legs so we couldn't run away? It's the same.

I really hope you find your parrot!

Email churches.
Put fliers up in stores.
Go on Facebook or any other internet connection you have.
Email your friends and ask them to email their friends.
Give a reward big enough to catch someones interest. You not only have the problem that he is on the loose but also that the person who finds him will want to keep him. That is the reason for the big reward.
Put his cage outside.
At night when it is quiet, call for him. He will not fly at night but if he is in hearing distance he will remember the direction of your call.
