Hello my name is Holly and I am going to get my very first parakeet in November and I am getting a male because I heard that they are easy to deal with then females. I will name him leo he is all white with some blue on him or I will get the yellow one I am glad to be on here so I can learn from all of you. This site will help me with all I need to know and have for my first bird I am looking forward to meeting you all and thanks for having me. :budgie: :)

Welcome to the forums, if you have any questions just ask, there are loads of knowledgable people on here who can help you out. Have a read through Michaels articles too he has tons of good advice, even if you don't need to use them on a practical level they are a very interesting read :)

Thanks for the warm welcome and yes I will be reading everything on here that I can because I want to be ready for my new parakeet. ;)

Nice to know I'm not the only one who actually is planning to get a Budgie/Parakeet! Welcome to the forums. :)
Just a young parrot novice looking to learn more. Considering getting a small parrot! (perhaps a budgie, lovebird, or conure!)
