Newbie

Postby janetafloat » Wed Dec 05, 2012 11:51 am

Hi everyone - I just joined the forum. My name is Janet, I live in the UK....England to be precise....and I have a cockatiel called Scout who I haven't had for long. I've so enjoyed him, and am learning all the time about being a bird owner - this site has been great, really informative - and I'm hoping to add a Sun Conure to my flock in the new year as the bird needs to be rehomed. :greycockatiel:

Welcome to the forums.

Why does the bird need to be rehomed?
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands.

The original owner travels for her work a lot so her mother has been left holding the bird. The mother has also been left looking after her son's German Shepherd much of the time so the conure is spending far too much time in its cage and is shrieking a lot. Oh, and there's an elderly relative in the house also that really doesn't like the noise. That's the story as I've been told it.
