Hello! I'm new here. My name is Emily, I currently live in Melbourne Australia with my parrots and dogs. I have a 1 year old blue Quaker Parrot (Carlos) and two aviary Fischer's Lovebirds. I also have two dogs, 7 year old Scottish Terrier mix (Ally) and a 2 year old English Cocker spaniel (Bonnie). '

I'm currently training Carlos, Ally and Bonnie through the use of positive reinforcement and clicker training. Bonnie has learnt over 100 tricks, Ally roughly 20 and Carlos is still trying to grasp the concept of "click = treat".

Carlos has learnt many different words and phrases. Including "Bonnie *whistles, come here good girl" and "give me kiss *makes kiss sound, GOOD BOY". He has also associated gentle nipping with the word "ow" and will sometimes laugh if you say it back to him. I plan to continue teaching Carlos, and eventually start teaching him more advanced tricks. I also plan to adopt a Sun Conure from a parrot re-homing service in a few years.
