Hi, I've been watching Michael's videos on youtube for a while now and decided to join the forum today

At the moment I am the loving "mommy" of a 1 y.o. senegal parrot/monster. His (or her? don't know yet, but I'll refer to him as if he was male) name is Kura (it's Polish for "chicken" - it just happened, but he seems to like the name

) - he came to our house when he was 6 months.
He is a very happy and loved parrot (also a bit spoiled by my boyfriend

). He doesn't fly yet (bought him with already clipped wings), but we'll get there - he's already training hard every time he gets the chance to

He doesn't wake us up in the morning, but as soon as one of us goes to the toilet, he starts singing "the song of his people" and quiets down when we return.
He doesn't speak yet, but he already learned to imitate the clicker sound and... farting sound which is his favorite sound at the moment

He doesn't do tricks also, but he reacts to "come here" ("chodź!" in Polish) by jumping/flying to the shoulder and to "hop" (it's Polish - it's like a onomatopoeia for jumping or something like that) - but this is very selective. He either gets on the finger or not.
And of course "scratching!" - hearing this word he leans his head forward and waits to be scratched on the neck

Sometimes if he doesn't want to step up, he tries to pet himself on the finger he is supposed to get on

I think that will be just enough as an introduction (maybe too much)

And for the finale, two pictures of my lovely chicken:
