Hi from Canada

Postby Cannuck » Tue Oct 06, 2009 6:14 pm

Hi! I am Danielle from Canada. We have a large mix matched flock in our house. It consists of Maggie our gender confused red lored amazon, Boots and Snowflake our lovies,Ziggi and Leroy our BC and GC conuresa and 9 cockatiels soon to be 11 and one 5 week old budgie yet to be named. We are adopting a senegal at the end of October as well I have agreed to adopt an older friends Cockatoo within the next 6 months or so. I am also hoping to have a grey one day but the right one has not yet come around so we will see eventually.

I am currently studying to get my animal care specialist cerification with a special interest in birds, however I also work mini rex rabbits. I also handfeed babies for a few local breeders and do wing and nail clipping.

My areas of experience with parrots are mainly but not limited to rehabilitation, special needs birds and behavior.

I look forward to getting to know everyone and learning from you all! I love talking about our parrots!

Thank you Micheal for the invite!

Why don't you post a flock photo that has all your birds in it? :cockatiel:

That would be a challenge! Lol! Something to strive for though. I can post a few pictures though, but to do everyone would take alot of room!

Parrots are like potato chips...

It all started because my husband said I could get a budgie. Then people started dropping them off.

It's true! They are like potato chips!
I started out with 2 zebra finzhes and it went downhill (a good thing!) from there!
