Hello from Michigan!

Postby ShaylaFortune » Wed Jan 23, 2013 2:11 am

Hi everyone! My name's Shayla, I'm 18 years old, and live in (Northern) Michigan, USA. I grew up with a cockatiel and budgie that my mom has/had (RIP Ziggy) so I'm pretty familiar with small parrot husbandry. I currently have six budgies (who may or may not be re-homed), my 'tiel Molly, and currently have 4 rescue birds; 2 ringneck doves, 'tiel and lovebird living with me. The 'tiel and lovebird are currently in quarantine. I recently joined bird the rescue community, the 'tiel and lovebird being my second bird rescue ever, and I hope to foster and rescue more birds in the future when I have the monetary means, time, and space. :)

I know budgie color mutations and sexing pretty well and will happily help people out with that if needed. I am also learning 'tiel color mutations and sexing as well. I'm hoping to learn more, and help others out if needed.

Oh, and I am hoping to clicker train my 'tiel and learn all the tricks of the trade when it comes to parrot training, so I have high hopes for this forum. :D
