First time bird owner!!

Hello everyone! I got my first bird, a green cheek conure, on January 14, 2013 from a lady I found on Craigslist who was rehoming him because three of her other birds were bullying him. I visited her house and she told me everything and gave me valuable knowledge on Tookie. She had owned him for four years so she knows him very well. He is not DNA proved but they called him a boy so I guess I am too. His name was Tookie and it's also staying that. So far he's been a great companion. He steps up and lets me rub his beak. Unfortunately he is molting when I got him so he is a bit cranky at times and doesn't let me pet his head. Also he came with his wings clipped so after his molt I might keep him flights depending on his attitude. I've watched a ton of Michael's videos and just barely decided to join the forum. I am very happy to be here
